    Up to 130 Marines dead in Iraq?

    Let's just hope this is wrong. This need not be partisan. I just wanted folks to know.

    A Pentagon source has said up to 130 US troops have been killed in fierce fighting in Iraq.

    The large scale battle, described as "intense", has taken place in the town of Ar Ramadi, 20 miles west of Fallujah.


    Sky News' David Chater said: "None of this is official yet - none of it is confirmed."

    But he added: "It sounds very much like this is being carried out by men who are militarily trained."

    Chater described the attack as "highly sophisticated".

    EDIT:

    After reading the story for the second time, I caught the very vague nature of the story.

    I would like to preface this by saying that any one single American that is dieing for that shit hole of a country is a shame.

    130 may have been killed, however it's more likely that 12 were killed.

            That AP story I am almost sure is correct - they don't put out bogus crap generally and they quote the Pentagon.

            But the thing about the 130 is in question.

                        Either get the FUCK out, or call in some heavy duty air support.
