• Arizona Fall League Update

    Lambert pitched today: 3 innings, 3 hits, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, sporting a 1.80 ERA so far.

Haerther was 1-3 and is hitting .240. He has been hot lately and has been hitting 3rd in the best minor league lineup I have ever seen.

Travis Hanson was 1-4 and is hitting .440.

The .240 average looks worse than it is. I was comparing him to Pujols in the way that he jumped up quite a bit for a 21 year old OF who is now at the least going to make the Memphis ballclub. The way he was hitting at the end of last year, he could have moved up to Memphis if they were going to be in a playoff run.

Will he have Pujols like stats? No, but I think he could hit .280 + with 20 + HR in the majors in a couple years.

No, no, no...we have to continue to wring our hands aboot trading Daric Barton...this 'positive' news isn't going to overcome that loss....
