I watched one game in my life with just my Mom there and no one else.

That game was the one.

Great game and another great memory of Mom. I'll never forget it.

I was 12.

I was behind home plate....last row in the stadium. One of the friends that was with me had just commented that maybe Oz would hit a homer. Being the educated fan that I am I informed him that it would be unlikely since Ozzie had NEVER hit a homerun from the left side.

Next pitch left the park.

People stayed in the stadium for probably an hour after the game had ended.

Good times.

Did anyone, ANYONE have a voice left after that game?

I thought not.

But wait. There is something that can be done afterall. My good friend Angelo is a cop in the Tampa/Clearwater area. Since I kept all of the files from the access logs when I had the power to see them, guess what, I have everyone's IP addresses. Hmm..what can I do w/ those??

Ha Ha, I beat you both. I was just a couple weeks shy of the big 3-0 at that time. I was working night shift then too and got up and watched the game in my underwear. When Ozzie hit the homerun I ran out on the front porch and danced all around for awhile until I realized I was in my underwear. OK this is ironic. I did not know that it was the anniversary but was driving to Indy very late last night to coach lindenwood. When KMOX re broadcast it this summer i recorded it on my PC, edited out the commercials and turned it into an mp3. I listened to it on my way here last night! great game, kept me up the whole way. The reaction of Buck is classic cause if you listen to the whole at bat he doesn't seem to think OZ can get a HIT much less homer, great stuff

Another 7-10 days until the Denkinger "anniversary".
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.
