Tossin' and turnin'...

    Turnin' and tossin'...

    Tossin' and turnin' all night!

Gotta be a coincidence because I always sleep well.

    Still not worried, though.

    Couldnt fall asleep until 1.

Had to get up at 415 for work.

Kept seeing Jim Edmonds ground to 1st with 2 on, 2 outs, on the first pitch... and I very seldom detest 1st pitch swinging by our big guns.

That was the first thing I thought of when I woke up. Ugh.

I fell asleep around 12:30. Got up at 6:00. TGIF.

I slept great last night. Tonight I will not sleep so good. the night before a game, I typically wake up 4 or 5 times, hoping we win or thinking about what might happen.

asleep at one up at 7...

                  slept fine.

the astros won, but they still didn't hit with runners in scoring position and the cards made some mistakes that are not common for this team. If the Astros would've rocked the Cardinals 8-0 and hit the snot outta the ball, I might've lost some zzz's, but it came down to this. Oswalt pitched a great game...when someone pitches a great game against you...you need 3 things to happen:

                  1. your pitcher needs to pitch a great game.
                  2. your defense has to make all the expected plays
                  3. you have to take advantage of your rare opportunities.

the biggest problem came on the Molina pass ball.

It should've been 0-0 going into the 5th, the Astros score after the Ausmus double. It's 1-0. Pujols hits a HR in the 6th, it's 1-1. Differently mentality, different approach...for both teams.
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."

Disagree slightly, that misplay by Sanders effectively ended the game.

I don't think 2-1 scaeres anyone on this team

I agree, it was probably equally as big, but i just didn't feel the confidence in the Cardinals to make the comeback last night regardless. I knew Lidge was coming in, and the only guy last night who inspired any confidence in me was Pujols.

Went to bed immediatley after the game, no post game BS.

                          Slept fine.

First thought when I woke up though was that Reggie might be done due to injury. Sounds like he'll be OK. I hope.

Yes, we looked rather foolish at the plate. Thought Eck still had some good AB's, but Oswalt was nails.

We can hit Lidge, I know we can. I know we can. I know we can. I know we can. Iknow we can. I know we can. I know we can...

We're going to face THE BIGGEST THREE six times in seven games. It's pretty likely we were going to lose, you know, maybe one of those. And this one is as good a time as any other.

For a loss, I find this one pretty acceptable. We gave them three of their four runs. That won't happen again. Left to their own devices, they can't drive in a run to save their fuckin' lives. This bodes well. (Unless Sanders and Walker are subtracted, in Cardinal postseason SOP.)

Sack up Saturday. May the best team win. And that's us.
