So there was Uncle Tupelo who I liked.

    And I liked Wilco too.

And I saw Son Volt in Columbia a long while ago and I really liked them.

    Huh.

This is the same Wilco as all that, right?
    Sometimes elections have positive consequences!

        yes....

anyone else think Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was better than Kid A? Arguably the best two albums to come out in the last ten years.
        Are you on the list?

The two albums they did with Billy Bragg were amazing. I saw them open for R.E.M. in '99 and they were pretty good then too.

Who woulda thunk it that the guy who wrote "I Got Drunk" would ever go to rehab?

Big deal, from what I have heard...they can't really rock out.

Maybe he will learn to play and write, write and play, or at least one or the other.

Wilco, Schmilco, Tweedy, needy. Not impressed.

Good Luck at the Betty Ford Clinic.

Tweedy's a helluva writer... and a product of the SIUE jazz guitar/Rick Haydon program....

I've met Farrar's brother, John, who is also a musician, and has played in bands with another friend of mine.

He's from Belleville. They call hit the "Hat Man."
