• Anyone watch WSOP last night?

A couple things that struck me....

1) Raymer caught alot of cards early, building his chip stack pretty heavily early on. The guy made some really dumb calls and got lucky. He was in on hands that he shouldn't have been in on, and got rewarded. I didn't really see any great plays from him.

2) Way too many internet players in that field for a pro to have any realistic chance of winning. Chris Ferguson went all-in with AA and some douche calls with K9 off. Who calls an all-in with K9 off?

3) Phil Helmuth gets funnier every time i see him, even though he is pretty arrogant sometimes.

4) Dutch Boyd has problems. I'm surprised he didn't come out and admit that he hears the cards talking to him.
At least he's getting help.

Did you see Kate Hudson's brother lose on the first hand to Raymer?

That was amazing. He had 10,10 and Raymer called a decent raise with an A, 10. The flop was A,A,10.

Brutal.

Yeah, that was brutal. Actually, that was Farha that had that hand. I think those guys just raise all-in off the bat thinking they have the best hand when there are 2-3 other hands that could possibly beat theirs.

I think i would head straight to the bar if i paid 10k and lost on my first hand.

How about the guy they showed that got knocked out the first day, and didn't even unpack his luggage from the hotel, which he brought with him?
