• They are already doing road work on Page extension

WTF? That thing has been open for what, a year? They are already doing road work on it and closing the ramp that you would use if you were leaving Harrah's, er, UMB Pavillion.

They've had half the lanes closed after Maryland Heights Expressway (or whatever that road is called) since about mid-week last week. I've enjoyed the sign on 94 that says "Lane Closers on 364 - consider taking I-70".

Usually in highway contracts, there's provisions that kick into place that are more unfavorable when projects are considered completed.

That's why on some efforts, the road work never ends.

This work was scheduled in 1972, a year after the Page Extension was first proposed....so of course it's going to happen now, some 33 years later.

In a good world, there'd be quality control provisions in state contracts.

It's still bugging me that the sign says "left lane closers" - Why not "Left Lanes Closed"?

I think they're lamenting about the Card's lack of a reliable lefty closer.

Sadly, that's closer to the truth...they wanted that thing built back in the mid-60s during the interstate boon....

Actually the one that most of you will be familiar with is The Rennaissance Hotel downtown...shouldn't be too much to bitch about w/that place. (IF anythign, I'm the one bitching about THAT place!)

Page extension can be a pain in the ass somedays. I always accidentally get on 364 instead of continuing on 94. I wish the state would consider starting their budget cuts on the transportation dept. first and foremost.....too much unnecessary construction it seems like.

Has anyone heard about the new plans for making Hwy 367 a non-stop highway from Lindbergh into N. city? ? ? I don't get it.
