    Every team that has beaten the Yankees in the playoffs in the 21st Century has gone on to win the World Series:

    2001: Dbacks in WS.
    2002: Angels in NLDS.
    2003: Marlins in WS.
    2004: Red Sux in ALCS.
    2005: Angels in ALDS???
