  • Rams - Post Game Thoughts

The offense was good enough to win. Not great but good enough. Holt is a stud. Our only consistently outstanding player.

Specials team were decent in coverage and had the big return but that fumble at the end was a killer. Why is McDonald even back there? The guy may well have the worst return average in NFL history. Fair is much better. Just let him do it. I don't want to see RunBackwardandfumble McDonald ever again field a punt.

Hodges should be cut tomorrow. There are a dozen former NFL punters cutting their grass today that are better.

The defense was just atrocious but that has come to be expected I said after the first couple games they were better. I was wrong. They are worse. Why should teams run it when its like taking candy from a baby to pass? In the past two weeks they have made average to mediocre WRs look like the 2nd comings of Jerry Rice.

The only bright spot is its certain that Marmie will get fired and just maybe Martz will too. I think Shaw will force Martz to fire his buddy Marmie and hire a def coordinator with some actual NFL success on his resume. If Martz isn't fired he certainly should have some of his power removed.

Its going to be a long fall and winter until baseball starts again because the Blues and Tigers are even worse than the Rams.

And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

Now that's funny, JD...because as soon as I saw this thread, I planned on posting the exact same thing...

I've been more patient with him than others have...but he's done here, in my book...

There has to be someone out there that can make good use of the offensive weaponry while at least making the defense and special teams respectable...and do it without having to "rebuild"...

They don't need rebuilding, but they sure as hell need fixing...something Martz continues to promise yet fails to deliver...

I'm not surprised by any of this, and I think they do need to rebuild, at least defensively.

There are a lot of things I don't understand. Japanesse porn, for example. Tops on my list with the Rams is why a team that drafts for speed at the cost of size at virtually every position doesn't have someone fast to return kickoffs and punts. JJ.

Fair wanted off the field because he was winded. Reminds me of Kevin Carter in the Super Bowl.

The defense is just awful. No pressure and utter confusion in the secondary. Where the heck were the linebackers?

Punter, should be cut now. Should have been told to clean out locker at dome and we will mail you your stuff from Rams Park. Holy Cow>

I'm picking up Payton Manning and Marvin Harrison for my Salary Cap league next week. I'm putting the over-under on touchdowns at 13 1/2.
