  • MARTZ WAS GOING TO RESIGN!

According to Chris Mortenson on ESPN, Mike Martz told him that he told doctors on last Saturday he felt so bad that if they didn't identify his illness he'd resign as Rams head coach.

Normally, this would have been good news to hear. Hope he's doing fine..

I think the illness has been shot and is beginning to be fixed. He's feeling better.

Can't help wondering----the way the "news" came out----am I supposed to ask where was the local media on this? Well, I am not asking that.

            Dunno.

Mortensen said that Martz told him directly.

            Maybe they're pals.

I'm guessing someone had to submit the question yesterday, which means it will get answered on tuesday. Gotta give em 3 days.

I think Martz was just pulling Mort's chain. He just wanted to add excitement to NFL Sunday Countdown.

Is that a joke? Last year, Mortensen reported that Martz had to win a specific game late in the season or the front office would fire him. Martz went ballistic about it calling it a complete fabrication. He probably hates Mortensen as do many people in the league.

Total offense 1 total defense 31, at least according to that site. We'll fix it. JJ.
