  • Sufjan Stevens...

Does anybody else think he sounds like a gay Richard Marx?

I know you have..I love the strings and things... and the kitchen sink aesthetic, but his quavering almost Take That boy-band white bread vocals are gay beyond reproach.

The dude's totally Elmers on the albums. However, the albums are the shit.

Need I remind you how much of a sissy Morrissey is?

I'm on his side, but remain a non-convert at this point.

He's a singer/songwriter from Michigan (I believe), and is an undeniable talent.

His stated goal is to produce an album about every state in the union. He's already done one about his home state, and his latest, ILLINOISE sounds even better to me.

I'd say he's definitely worth investigating, even though he can be an acquired taste. Right now there's massive amounts of buzz about him in the music bidness.

Illinoise is alright. Not as good as all the critics are hyping it up to be.

I know I'm rather late, but right now I'm completely addicted to Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.

Didn't Steve tell you to use that line on girls?
