• Name the 2001 Cardinals roster by the Playoffs

I got this far...
SP-Morris, Woody, Benes, Stephenson, Simontacchi(?)
BP-Veres, Timlin, Stech

Lineup: 1b-McGwire, 2b-Vina, ss-Edgar, 3b-Polanco, RF-Drew, CF-Edmonds, LF-Pujols, C-Matheny
Bench: C-DeFelice(?), Bonilla, KRob
In Construction

(the move messed it up)

Was 2001 the year we got Will Clark?

Were Eric Davis and Shawon Dunston on the team yet? Or was that '02?

Thomas Howard?

Bud Smith? Ankiel?

Edit: The Ankiel debacle was 2000, right? So he was not around for the '01 post-season, I guess...

Okay, so I cheated. Most notable omissions? Darryl Kile still started then (he passed in '02). Dustin Hermanson was a starter, before he became Southside closer extraordinaire.

Oh, and Dave Veres was the closer. (shudder)

Will the Thrill was 2000. The Mets owned our shit in that NLCS.

Will Clark was in 2000

I think Davis and Dunston left after the 2000 season.

Bud Smith was still with the Cards in 2001.

I think so, but I'm not sure.

I'm doing this without looking it up.

I'm pretty sure he did. I think it was a Saturday. I was in Herman, MO celebrating Octoberfest.

That's about the only thing I remember from that day. I'm pretty sure the next night was the "Womack Night".
