    From Baseball Prospectus...

    My guess is that the home field is why they give the White Sox a slightly better chance of winning it all than us, since they give the White Sox a smaller chance of winning their LCS than us. I'll take my chances with an STL/CWS world series though.

    No, it's because Joe Sheehan hates the Cardinals.

    (And they also probably think the Yanks/Angels are better than the Braves/Astros.)

      I think that's likely a big part of it too (the part about the Yanks/Angels vs Braves/Astros, that is...), and why we're a 92% favorite afer winning the first two games, and the White Sox are "only" 89% favorites of finishing off the Red Sox.
