Womack is an upgrade over Anderson and Hart.

    That's all I know.

I also think he might be a good fit with TLR. I like Womack right now. Anybody who draws a lead-off walk and steals a base is cool with me.

As long as he doesn't get stupid with his defense and continues to take pitches at the plate, I'll take him.

stole little with the Cubs, I think he is trying harder, maybe just to make an impression, or doesn't want to end up on some crap team if the Birds ditch him.

I just hope he continues to take pitches all season, as he did look pretty good yesterday. I am somewhat sceptical that he will do this however.

Yeah, Womack did his job. Our vaunted "middle of the lineup" did not.

    Nor did Morris.

I thought Womak was great. Just what the Cards need in a leadoff hitter. He was on base three times and put himself in scoring position with his SB, too bad he only scored 1 run. The Cards should be embarassed about that. Let's hope he keeps it up and the team starts picking him up too.

If he continues to take pitches, it would be a departure from what he's done in the past. Let's home yesterday wasn't an anomaly.

He really looked good yesterday -- as opposed to Morris.

He looked okay. I liked the fact that he took some pitches.

We haven't seen that from a leadoff man in several years.

    Womack

2BB, 3SB and a hit. Can't ask for more than that.

The SO against vizcaino was weak .

Part of 2 double plays, I didn't see them, how did he look.
Working...
