  • Rayray's first day back

Weel, what do we think. realize it is only one game...but 6 LOB. Stroke looked bettter than last time. Only 1 SO.

Should he hit up in the line-up, or lower?

Lank busted tail on that double. His swing looks better. But striking out in the first after that standing O was eerily familiar.

      Hey Crack,

Perhaps you, like the people on the radio this morning, forget that Everybody's MVP, Albert Pujols also struck out that inning to Sheets, followed by Jimmy Edmonds.

      That looked familar too.

I like you guys, but you aren't worth risking my employment =]

I think he should hit lower in the lineup
                Are you on the list?

I saw that part. I'm not anti Ray by any means. I was happy as I could be to see him back in our line-up. His adrenalin must have been pumping like crazy in the first inning. Ray will win some ballgames for us.

I just don't think he's suited as a number 2.....I'd rather see edmonds or renteria in that slot. Frankly, I'm not all that opposed to switching edmonds and lankford. Lankford would get protection from Rolen....I think it would be worth trying for a few games.

I would also bat Morris 8th. Good stroke.

The problem is that we really don't HAVE a #2.

Should be interesting to see So and Luna hit 1 and 2 tonight, if Strauss is right.

Ray definitely looked better swinging the bat, but I'm not sold on him as a top of the lineup guy. I agree though that the Cards don't really have anyone else to put #2 right now.

I think Ray is the best we have for #2 right now, given our cirumstances.
