• WHY?

Apart from the proverbial cry of "East Coast Bias," why is the St. Louis matchup the only series not playing on consecutive days?

How do you folks feel about having a day in between contests?

I think, from a ticketholder viewpoint, that it sucks. However, since I'm not a ticketholder I have to rely on the TV to watch the game. In that case, I'd take the off-day for the opportunity to watch the game on TV.

We should consult Dev on this issue.

I don't mind. I remember when our game started at 10 pm or something in like 2002.

a day off is fine with me here.

More important, (and this is a question I'd really, really like an answer on), why do we have a 3pm start tomorrow (instead of a prime time slot) when no other teams are playing?

Because they know I can TIVO the game this year.

It probably depends on what ESPN and Fox are scheduled to show that night.

Smoltz vs. Clemens to boot. I hate to say it, but I doubt we have a primetime game during the NLDS. This matchup just isn't as sellable as the Yankees/Angels, Braves/Assholes, or even Sox/Sox.

We are not a sexy draw -

I would have preferred two back to back - but this doesn't bother me -

I actually like we got to day time starts for the kids to sneak off with their parents.

No one cares about the Padres. If we were playing the Braves, it would be a different story

One series almost always is that way. Our's is the least favorite as for as the network goes so we get stuck with the shit schedule. The thing I don't like about it is it gives the Padres a chance to pitch pitchers twice instead of taxing their whole starting staff. I think we win going away anyway but that would have been a bigger problem if Peavy hadn't gotten hurt.

It's not easy to have a quadruple header during a week day game and the game is being played in the Midwest...

Saturday, on the other hand, will be a bit more easier to schedule since the Cards will be in San Diego and likely be the late game....so, we'd have a 12PM, 3PM and a 6PM then arguably the cards @ 915...

                              Just a hunch...
