            I wonder why Chief Illiniwek's halftime appearance isn't on the list. That's been around a lot longer than Chief Osceola.

                            Yeah, the call of the Hogs coupled with Uncle Heavy's Hog Hat makes them a top ten tradition IMO. The Mississippi State cowbells are cool, particularly since they were banned and MSU fans still sneak them into games and use them. MSU fans would probably say Jackie Sherrill's bull castration could have been a great tradition and one better than the cow bells.

                              Another tradition--Michigan's of increasing the NCAA single-game attendance record every year.
