yes, it's next to that other place you went to. You know, they really need to advertise it better I guess, because no one seems to know about it.

it's hard for me to imagine that people wouldn't be interested in seeing embalming tools from the 1800's. Lincoln is boring compared to that.

I don't know. Hey, I just reread your original post. Is the new Lincoln place at the old Lincoln place?

This is the big library/museum that opened in April. Don't know what "old place" you're referring to.

Stopped at a martini bar on the way out of town. They offered the Mary Todd Lincoln -- "you'd have to be crazy not to like it!"

                  EDIT

found the link to it. It's on Monument Ave.

There hasn't been any kind of real Lincoln museum there in many, many years.

For me, the recreation of Lincoln's office (cabinet members around the table) for the first reading of the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation. Quite startling immediacy; feels like you're actually there in the room.

For King, it would be the recreation of his casket lying in state in the state capitol.

Quite impressive. A lot of stuff I'd never seen before. It's gotten some criticism for being "Disneyfied," but I think that's crap.
