  • A grand home finale at Wrigley

Final home game of the season finished with about 200 fans in cold downpour.

Pirates led, 3-2, going into the ninth.

Cubs load bases with nobody out.

    First guy strikes out.

    Second guy strikes out.

Third guy pops weakly to second.

Thanks for coming everybody! See you next year!

Senseless stat that I find amusing....

Wood and Prior combined for 14 wins....

          Has Baker been fired yet?

            Prior got beat today.

I'm starting to think he won't be next Tom Seaver. I think being a Cub has beaten him down.

Don't get me wrong, though -- they're close. Very close....

            ....to being a .500 team.

TV guys said Ron Santo won't be making the trip to Houston. Going to take part in some sort of juvenile diabetes walk.

Good move, Ron. I think he's finally seen enough.

I went last night. Bleachers not even full, which I haven't seen in a few yeras. They all just gave up. Good times.

Good. Hopefully, the Financial Boycott will continue and we will be heard.

Oh, the tickets were sold. The scalpers were outside giving them away.

and Wood got 3 of those for the low, low price of $8.5 million (Prior got 11 at $2.0 Mil)
