Ok, the sitcom topic got me thinking. What movie makes best use of its soundtrack?

I will offer up Snatch. The way they use the music during scenes is awesome

    Rushmore.

The soundtrack *makes* that movie hum. It informs the actions of the main characters, and turns what might be a throwaway scene (like Bill Murray's character at the swimming pool while The Kinks "Nothing In The World To Stop Me Worryin' 'Bout That Girl" is playing) into memorable, impactful ones.

First person to use the now-ubiquitous (commercials, TV Shows, other movies) "Ooh La La" by the Faces as a music bed? Wes Anderson at the end and roll-credits on Rushmore.
    I like cheese.

Tarantino usually does a good job with the music. I'm thinking Reservoir Dogs...

      Garden State

The Life Aquatic (another Anderson flick)

The soundtrack for The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is tough to beat. Ennio Morricone was a master of the Spaghetti Western soundtrack.

Jaws had a soundtrack that helped make the movie a smash hit.

                    Beetlejuice.

Strange orchestral music for a strange Tim Burton movie.

Good use of 2 Harry "Republicans are the Anti Christ" Belafonte's songs, Day-O & Shake Senora.

Listening to the soundtrack, I can always pick out which scene goes with which song.
