Looks like it's a trend with the San Francisco Chronicle
Without bloggers none of this would ever come out.

I guess the SF Chronicle doesnt want to give its readers the impression that all people that dont like the war in Iraq are communists.
Hell, there are already plenty of people on the Right that believe that.“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”
Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

Well, as thick as I am, and from what I glommed froma quick scan of that link, I'll give it a crack...
The Chronicle didnt tell the whole story when they posted that pic in their newspaper.
My point is that if they had told the whole story, they would have been accused of right-wing bias for posting a pic of only a communist group and not other more "normal" people that dont like the war in Iraq.
Why they put that particular pic in their newspaper is beyond me“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”
Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

I know what you are saying ("the media is liberally biased!), but what I meant was why didnt they take a pic of some guy in a polo shirt with a hand-made sign or something?
Why take a pic of some kid in some radical out-of-the mainstream group that represents a small minute segment of those that dont like the war in Iraq?“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”
Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

Since the polls show that over 50% of the country doesn't like or want this war now I see no reason for them to have tried to make anything up, they could have taken pictures of 100 people on the street and over half would oppose this war.Be passionate about what you believe in, or why bother.

My point exactly.
I fault the Chronicle for not publishing a pic of someone "normal".
Taking a pic of this guy and the group he represented and then getting caught in not telling the whole story subjected the Chronicle to this, and just adds more fuel to the fire for the Right-wingers to claim there is media bias. Thats a claim that gets overblown to a great extend.
Especially when an incompetent Republican president is in the White House. For some reason, the claims of media bias get louder whenever that happens “I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”

I don't think the point here is that of a widespead media bias... that is ignoring the real issue. There can be opinions either way.
Instead it should be holding the Chronicle accountable for their obvious liberal bias. That can't be argued...Official 2014-15 Lounge Sponsor ofJori Lehterä

They could have saved themselves from alot of trouble by taking a pic of Joe Six-Pack in a polo shirt.
But had they posted a pic of that whole group, they would have accused of showing bias the other way, giving the reader the impression that all war protesters are communist“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”

Razz:
It's sensationalism. You can't get Americans to start hating a war if you show just some joe blow six pack holding up a sign. Whose going to be influenced by that picture? The close up shot of the girl was dramatic, because it was supposed to be. They have an agenda -- and are trying to exploit it in anyway possible -- as long as they don't get caught.
I mean, I almost feel sorry for the MSM when they found out that all of their sensationalist reporting about deaths and rapes and other crimes at the dome and convention center were false. Why do you think they failed to verify these stories before reporting them? After all, they were right there. All they had to do was ask someone to show them the bodies. How hard would that have been? But no, they were in Bush bash mode. That has a life of its own -- journalistic ethics be damned."You can't handle my opinions." Moedrabowsky
