Actually, I just want some insight into the David Richards situation. Why did he ever leave MSU if he wanted to be a running back? Why was Pinkel so insistent that this guy NOT be a running back for you? No way this guy doesn't end up being a Saluki, if you ask me.

I would love for Mizzou to have Lawrence Maroney too, but it did not seem like a good fit for him at Mizzou. Pinkel, his assistants, and others inside the program with Mizzou said how much talent this kid had, but it just didn't fit well with him.
Apparently he had a bad visit, and was even challenging some players and members of the program.

[/b][/quote]Pattern formed....he ditched MSU when the coach broke...never applied himself to a position at which he was better suited,or worked to keep himself on the field in more situations.....never maintained his weight to a level needed for that position.....now he`s jettisoned his teammates at a time when he could and should be there......

Assuming he was better suited to LB, its clear he was still a pretty good RB if he got that many yards as a frosh in the Big 10.
