That hit on Kozlov never gets old.

Hard to believe that was 10 years ago.

I've never seen a tougher player than Scott Stevens. There may have been some before my time and probably were but in my life, there's been no one.

I remember when he was awrded to the devils. Fuck that sucked. He was my favorite Blue at the time. Everyone was all about Hull in 90-91, I liked Stevens. Some friends of mine insisted that we were better off with Shanalad. I disagreed and rightly so. I'll take Stevens and the 3 cups he had a hand in winning.

And he's do it completely cleanly with shoulder hits. In 2001, I believe, he concussed Ron Francis with a good shoulder-to-shoulder hit. Both were going for the puck in the corner, Stevens stopped to nudge him with a shoulder, Francis went down and when he got up looked like he had just done tequila shots for three hours. He couldn't keep his balance.

#2 on Kariya looked like the puck was long gone. Ouch!

I think the big difference was that Francis had his head down.

When Stevens was on the ice, that was the one thing you could not do.

Actually they missed what was in my opinion the greatest hit Stevens ever had. It was during the early part of the 1990 season against the Oilers' Craig Simpson.

Just before the blue line, the defneceman passed it up to him got caught in his skates, Simpson looks down and Stevens delivers.

Simpson flew backwards about 5 feet and was out on the ice.

                        had any feelings"

Why not? Lindros is a tool.

I agree with you there, but the Kariya hit was much more brutal. Heck there's a handful that looked better than the Lindros hit, but because it's Lindros, he get's #1.
