How many do Redbirds have to win for us to have momentum heading into post-season?

I say 10, but I have higher standards than most of you losers.

Seriously, 7-4, and 102 overall victories, sounds just peachy.

How much momentum did we have last season? Zilch, if I recall. Everyone was worried about not going 20-5 in September.

Carpenter starts game one. That's all the mo you gonna need, bo-ah.

And see what happened last year --we got swept in World Series.

(Sorry. I'm going with a What Would Whitey/Illinois/GreatestShow Say theme this post-season.)

By the way, if anybody wants to feel good, check out the overall MLB standings. White Sox are four games behind and fading. Everyone in NL pretty far back.

      We're just very good.

Other than not having Rolen, everything is going pretty much as we would design it. No one in the NL can touch us (doesn't mean we won't blow it, of course), and there may be a team about as good as the Cardinals in the AL, but definitely no one better.

It's all right in front of us. We're in the situation the Rams were in in 2001: If we just go out and play OUR game, we go home winners.

Totally agree. We're rested, got a great bench, and on and on. It'd be great to have a healthy Rolen, but it's really a No Excuses sort of year.

I would love to see us go 8 and 3.

The Rams played a REAL schedule in 2001.

I'd happy with 5 or 6 more wins as long as 2 of them come off Houston.
