Any news of how many Cards fans were arrested last night?
I know of two loungers who were somewhat politely asked to leave Wrigley during the Cards' on-field celebration because they were "throwing objects on the field." In actuality, they were throwing promotional playing cards straight up into the air like confetti. This was lost on the erstwhile Wrigley bouncers/ushers.
When Guppy called me at midnight last night, no one had gone to jail yet. I think they were pretty hammered though and the night was still young.....

ugh for them.

Backstop, I'm not sure about who exactly all drove except for 4 of the boys who I know did drive. Some of the others may have flown.
Guppy and 007 are expecting to be back in town at 3:00 today I think. I would not want to be out drinking as much and as late as they were last night them have to drive all the way home. There's nothing worse than being hungover and having to ride in a car for 5 hours.

I drove back to stl from there after a big night. It was really hard. But then I was crying too because that was the day DK57 passed away.

That had to be a tough drive home for sure. I was supposed to have been at that game too but had to stay at home with strep throat.
You could come over in a bit if you're bored and see for yourslf what shape they're in when they get back.

The folks in question shall remain nameless.

Um, yeah. "Real Classy organization you guys run here!!!!"
I wish that was the last place one of those nameless loungers was removed from.
He who shall remain nameless also placed a bet with friend that he couldn't throw a promotional pink cubs hat stright up onto the VERY high roof of Bernies, the bar we were at. The friend did in fact do it, which was quite amazing at the time. Before the celebration for said feat was even complete, another escorting out of an establishment took place.
So onto Casey Moran's it was. About halfway through a beer there, a bouncer approached and escorted the "nameless" lounger and his friends out. This time more forcibly. Apparently, word had spread from Bernie's that we were "trouble-makers." No shit. A lot of shouting at that bouncer followed until he revealed his CPD badge and that he was an off-duty cop. That was the end of that.
I don't think I've been asked to prematurely leave anyplace since college, and suddenly yesterday I was asked to leave 3 places.

Oh, I have done this too many times. All hockey trips. Once back from Chicago I actually drank myself sober, so I thought anyway. Other two times were coming back from Nashville. The first time down there, I was w/the Blues fans on the busses, and I was dying...it was horrible. The second time I was driving back. After an hour and a few Gatorades, I felt a little better, but you never fully feel better until you are sleeping in your own bed.
