Friday they interviewed Lara Flynn Boyle---she has a role in the Las Vegas nbc show.

She spent almost the entire first segment on Friday trying to convince Regis that Notre Dame was playing an away game at Michigan State, and he should not be going to South Bend. An exasperated Regis showed her his ticket which stated that the game was in South Bend. Then he went to commercial.

His pick for surprise team---NY Giants.

He takes football very seriously, and every year he picks an nfl team which will surprise people---this year he picked the Giants (before they won that first game)---he has a good track record.

ABC screwed up by going with Dennis Miller when Regis would probably have taken the job----and would have given them massive free promotion on his morning show.

Regis is on an NBC station in the Boston market...in Providence too.

He is mostly on abc affiliates. His millionaire show gave them a surprising shot of loot for a while.

I am not saying he is a football expert---just that he would have been better for mnf ratings than a lot of 3rd guys they used.
