QUOTE
Cardinals to put postseason tickets on sale
09/14/2005 3:04 PM ET
MLB.com

ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have received approval from Major League Baseball to begin selling Division Series and League Championship Series tickets on Monday, September 19 at 9 a.m. CDT via the team's telephone charge lines and the internet.

Division Series and League Championship Series tickets may be purchased by calling the Cardinals charge lines at 314/421-2400 or over the internet at stlcardinals.com. Fans may purchase a maximum of six tickets per game for the Division Series and four tickets per game for the League Championship Series. Tickets prices for the DS and LCS remain the same as last year and purchases can be made by using Master Card, Visa, Discover or American Express. DS and LCS tickets will not be available for purchase at the Busch Stadium ticket office or remote ticket selling locations. Applicable handling and convenience fees will apply to all orders.

Division Series ticket prices are Infield and Outfield Terrace Boxes ($30 & $28), Outfield Loge Reserved ($28), Terrace Reserved ($25), Upper Terrace Reserved ($16), Bleacher ($19) and standing room ($15), which will be available once all reserved DS seats are sold. For the League Championship Series ticket prices are Infield and Outfield Terrace Boxes ($55 & $53), Outfield Loge Reserved ($53), Terrace Reserved ($50), Upper Terrace Reserved ($36), Bleacher ($39) and standing room ($20), which will be available once all LCS reserved seats are sold.

While the exact number of tickets available for sale will not be known until commitments from Major League Baseball and Cardinals' season ticket holders have been filled, it is anticipated that the Cardinals will have approximately 14,000 tickets available for sale to the public for each of the Division Series games and 13,000 tickets available for each League Championship Series game.

The National League Division Series is a best-of-five series that features a 2-2-1 format in which the top-seeded teams host both Games 1 and 2, and Game 5, if necessary. Opponents and home field advantage for the Division Series are dependent upon each team's regular season record. There is a possibility that the Cardinals could host as many as three Division Series games during the week of October 4-10.

The National League Championship Series is a best-of-seven series that features a 2-3-2 format in which the top-seeded teams host both Games 1 and 2, and Games 6 and 7, if necessary. Opponents and home field advantage for the NLCS are also dependent upon each team's regular season record. There is a possibility that the Cardinals could host as many as four LCS games between October 12-20.

Based on the club's experience with the sale of 2004 postseason tickets at the Busch Stadium ticket office, the difficulty in staging long lines due to new stadium construction and the success with the new ticketing system when individual game tickets went on sale in March, postseason tickets will only be available via phones and the internet.

The new ticketing system processes orders faster while handling a higher volume of transactions at once. Fans will enjoy a faster, easier purchasing process with everyone having equal access to purchase postseason tickets.

The Cardinals will make a future announcement concerning the sale of tickets for possible World Series games.

This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.
I just hope you can buy multiple games in one "waiting room" session. In the past, once you got in, you could get one game, then had to play the waiting room game all over again to get another game.

"Playoffs?! Don't talk about playoffs! Are you kidding me? Playoffs?! I'm just hoping we can win a game, another game!"

Here's some more Mora quotes just for "shits and giggles":

"We couldn't do diddly-pooh offensively. We couldn't make a first down. We didn't run the ball. We didn't try to run the ball. We couldn't complete a pass. We sucked. We sucked. It was a horseass performance in the second half. Horseass!"

"I'm totally embarrassed, and I'm totally ashamed. We got our ass kicked in the second half. It sucked. It stunk. Cause they just blocked better, were more tougher, more physical, coached better, did everything better. We sucked!"

"We gave it away. We gave them the friggin' game. In my opinion, that sucked. ... We got our ass totally kicked. Holy crap. I don't know who the hell we think we are when we do something like that!"

"That was a horseshit performance in the second half, horse shit."

"We've thrown five interceptions returned for touchdowns. That might be a league record. And we've still got six games left, so there's no telling how many we'll have. I mean, it's absolutely pitiful to play like that. Horrible! Just horrible!"

I vote for Jim Mora to be the next Rams coach just b/c of the press conferences he'd have. "We gotta fix that" is so boring and lame. Spice it up a little Mike. Say diddly-pooh just once will ya?

Sorry for the "threadjack" by the way.
