    Ny post Article

"By pulling this trade off, GM Jim Duquette probably has catapulted himself to the top of the list for GM of the Year honors. Duquette has been trying to find a taker for Cedeno for months."

"Former Yankee Widger, 32, hit .235 last year. He's currently on the 25-man roster since, as a player with five-plus years of service, he can't be sent down. Still, with plenty of catching depth, the Mets are likely to release him."

Why did Widger have to be included in this deal again? Couldn't we have given them Mckay instead?

I would bet money that the author of this article is a real peice of work.

How many of you would like to nominate Walt Jocketty as the GM of the year because he was able to trade Tino Martinez to Tampa Bay and also pay 7.5 million of his salary.

        What a GREAT GM!!!

I think Steve Phillips was responsible for that salary mess, if im not mistaken.

IF the Mets took on Jeremy Burnitiz's salary, yet couldn't put up with a guy like Cedeno and paid his salary just to get rid of him, makes me wonder how bad his attitude must have been for that team.
