Mike Martz is an offensive coordinator who needs a head coach to reign him in. Martz actually RAN the ball too much this past weekend. Greatest show on turf?? How about picking on sub-par SF cornerbacks instead of running Steven Jackson up the middle for 3.2 yards per carry. Martz only wins on talent, not his coaching ability... or lack there of.

I'll give you Ahmed Plummer and charitably even Shawtae Spencer but come on, did you see Kevin Curtis' and Sean McDonald's numbers?? 7 catches each for 3 and 4 receivers - unheard of! But you are right, Martz is a MORON!

Ok let's review. The Patriots were committed to the run but, when Dillon was getting shutdown they went to the pass and it was successful. The Rams were committed to the run and when that wasn't successful, they went to the run anyway. Marshall Faulk wasn't utilized properly. The passing game wasn't utilized properly. Steven Jackson was put in a position to make plays when he didn't have much chance of success.

Dillion had over twenty carries...leaving the run as a threat
As usual Martz totally abandoned running too early and that's a big reason Bulger was sacked so many times and was constantly under pressureGo Cards ...12 in 13.

In fact Dillon did have 23 carries for 2.9 yards per carry. I agree that Martz didn't mix the run with the pass in a competent manner but he didn't do much else in a competent manner so what should we expect? Belichik had the Pat's throwing the ball consistently and when they had a second down and less than 6 he would run the ball to mix it up. Martz sucks!
