After reading today's article in 'Cardinals Insider' in the P-D, I was curious what my fellow Loungers thought....

My feeling: Not unless it's @ a reduced rate....

      No.

They need to get younger in the outfield.

Sure wish we didn't give away Coco Crisp for Chuck "Stilletto Heels" Finley.

I think it's too early to say. If he stays a .260 hitter next year he won't be worth 10 million. But at least he plays all year, unlike our 10 million dollar 3rd baseman.

Edmonds has been better this year than he's gotten credit for.

                  I'll still take him.

Yup. Depends on the cost, of course, and how he looks next year, but you could do worse.

I'm betting on a better season next year and a return in 2007

He is in good shape...he can wear the half shirts after all

Guys that stay in shape these days can be effective into their late 30s and early 40s before hitting the wall

Yes, but not at 10 million.

The guy isn't what he used to be (offensively), but can you seriously imagine the Cardinals dumping him? I'm sure both sides will reach an agreement to keep him here the rest of his career.
