  • You can't go home again...

I was doing my grocery shopping tonight, just minding my own business, when all of a sudden...I found myself in the wine aisle. I stopped...I looked around to see if anyone was watching me...then I grabbed it and put it in my cart under the frozen broccoli so no one could see it. The checkout clerk was so embarressed for me she even hid it in a white paper bag right after ringing it up. I got home, unloaded the van, and put it in the refrigerator quickly so it would get chilled. I was so-o-o-o excited! 30-year-old memories were coming back to me; memories of good times and music and camaraderie...and then I opened the bottle and took a taste and realized...

Boone's Farm Apple wine really sux. :( Oh, well, I wasted $2.79...

    Dat's right!

I knew it was going to be about that! I prefered Strawberry Hill back in the day. It was 89 cents too!

I used to partake in Kountry Kwencher a lot back when I was playing music (I wasn't into heroin like some of the other guys )...two bottles and I thought I was Jimmy Page! Of course, I was wrong...but getting thoroughly ripped helped me make it through many a night of playing "Freebird". :o

In college my roommate and I used to always get some sort of Boone's Farm, usually the strawberry. It was good stuff to us back in the day.

Nothing to be embarrassed about here. I've often thought about picking up a bottle this summer. It may be cheap, but it makes a good drink on a hot day if you get it really good and cold.

What no mention of the Mad Dog 20 - 20?
