The Red Sox lead MLB in runs scored, hits, doubles, batting average, RBIs, OBP, and OPS. They are 2nd in MLB in total bases.

    Just sayin'.

It's not even close with ERA either.

Remember a few years ago when the Braves squeaked out the ERA title in the last few innings of Game 162?

If memory serves, we're at least 14 or 15 points ahead of the Astros.

No one else is in the vicinity.

Don't say that, they want to believe in the east coast bias thing, and facts may make them crazy.

Within the past day or two, we were down to Houston 3.45 to 3.46.

After last night, it's Cards 3.38, Houston 3.52.

Will that help Carp in the Cy Young race?

            :P

FWIW, that seems like an awful lot of ERA shift for a couple of days when we're talking about 1260 innings or so.

I was thinking the same thing...

I understand your sentiments, schwa. But personally I couldn't care less if the Cardinals are given the same type or degree of national exposure or not.

                    - We know the Cardinals lead the majors in wins.
                    - We know the Cardinals have arguably the best manager, pitcher and position player in the game.
We know Cardinals' team ERA is wonderful, and our lineup (when healthy) can stack up against any opposition.
                    - We know how good the Cardinals are despite the rash of injuries and stop-gap callups.

I do think we (as fans) get too caught up and crazed about what we perceive as a slight or disrespect when compared with Boston, New York, LAA or even, at times, the Cubs.

But, what do we care? We know the truth, right?

And the truth is once again we're witnessing yet another in a long line of remarkable seasons that will remain in our memories for seasons to come.

So, we don't need a national affiliate or ESPN to confirm or validate what we already know to be true.

Let's just relax and enjoy the ride.

                    Go, CARDS!
