  • Time to shuffle the Cards, fire LaRussa.

First time I've ever seen it in a national column.
But wait. There is something that can be done afterall. My good friend Angelo is a cop in the Tampa/Clearwater area. Since I kept all of the files from the access logs when I had the power to see them, guess what, I have everyone's IP addresses. Hmm..what can I do w/ those??

I thought it was a very good and accurate column. TLR has the longest managerial tenure of anyone else but Bobby Cox, who has won, what, 10 straight division titles?

Hopefully he is gone after this year.
“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”

Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

The Cardinals management need to shuffle the tits off that queen and dump him...

A former Card told me the players are ready to "revolt on his ass" but ownership still loves him.

Bad analogy. A team with Pujolz, Renteria, Edmonds, Rolen, Morris and Isringhausen is no schoolbus. LaRussa is no Dale Earnhardt Jr.---not enough championships. It's more like paying Amelia Earhardt to pilot a Cessna.

Just wait until the end of the year and he'll be gone...

no way will the owners fire him.

I've lived here all my life and I really think that StL might be a funny little town.

A friend made the case to me tonight that maybe TLR wasn't exactly brought here to be a WS winning manager, but more cos he was a WS manager. Like, Tony Pena never would have been brought here before, but now that he has had more success than expected in KC, he could be accepted here.

It's managers like Sciosia who make me love this game. I am still in awe of his 2002 team. I mean, come on. And the thing I took away from that conversation was that I shouldn't expect anything like Sciosia for a long time here.

How can you not respect a guy who can work the word lugubrious into a sentence? That's a hell of a thing to be calling somebody, ummm, isn't it?

                            Meh.

Using big words isn't synonymous with good writing.

I liked this line: He is, in fact, the all-time wins leader among vegetarian-lawyer-animal-rights activists. If they would fire him this morning on the eve of the home opener it would be OK with me.

                              I miss TLR!
