Per Fox 2 KTVI...if anyone hears further details. I have a friend who is a officer in Chesterfield and we're obviously a bit nervous as we haven't heard anything.

Off-duty police officer is killed in Chesterfield
BY DAPHNE DURET

Police officers in Chesterfield were mourning the death of one of their own Tuesday night after an off-duty officer was killed in a car crash.
At least three other people, including two other police officers, were injured in the accident, which investigators said happened near the Hilltown Village shopping center about 6 p.m. Tuesday. The shopping center is on Olive Boulevard in Chesterfield, just north of Highway 40 (Interstate 64).
The officers were riding in a Ford Explorer westbound on Olive when a Cadillac leaving the shopping center plowed into the Ford, authorities said. The impact overturned the SUV.
The officers were taken to a nearby hospital, where one of the officers later died.
On Tuesday night, police had not released the name of the officer killed nor the names of those injured.
At least one person in the Cadillac was also injured, investigators said. That person was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries, the extent of which police did not release Tuesday night.
The shock of the officer's death was still setting in among fellow police officers Tuesday night. "I just really . . . I don't think I have anything to say right now," said Sgt. Steve Lewis.

I just recently heard JC& U-man identify the alleged slain officer, but I won't pass it on since I haven't seen an update. They got theirs from a wire, Channel 5 hasn't updated yet.

That's an incredibly dangerous spot to turn out of and go east on Olive. There's a suicide lane but it's often quickly got someone turning into it from both directions. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cadillac was trying was trying to shoot across traffic and get into that lane. I've almost been hit twice there. It's a mess.
Also, the infamous Harpo's watering hole is in that little strip mall. Hopefully the Cadillac wasn't being driven by someone who was over-served there.

Getting out of there should be right turn only by the Blockbuster...
