They have that new arena there so it's really no surprise.

It would've been nice to put it in Columbus... I might've been able to catch it.

We've had the fucking Kiel/Savvis Center for 10 years now...Where's ours?

I guess if that prick, Gretzky, was the Blues' owner then it would be NO PROBLEM!

I attended the All-Star Game at the Arena in '88 and it was quite an experience. The Plager boys were named honorary co-captains for the game. Sadly, Barclay died a couple of days before the game so his two sons were there and came to center ice to accept his jersey. Needless to say, there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Mario Lemieux was awarded the MVP award for putting on quite a show. Wales 6 - Campbells 5 (ot)

FTR....the Blues aren't actively seeking the All-Star Game for St. Louis....the Sports Commission has long been interested in bringing it to STL, but the Blues haven't been receptive....

and get over the Gretzky thing already: it was the blues management @ the time that screwed over Gretzky, not the other way around...

The Gretzky comment was basically over him being the NHL's golden boy. I understand the politics over why he left....Same reason Hull left.

007, WHY, wouldn't the Blues want to host an all star game? Does Sauer and/or Laurie think it's not a moneymaker?

I can't believe people are still hung up about Gretzky.
