    Cards bring up six from Memphis

    The St. Louis Cardinals added six players to the roster for the final month of the season on Monday, including the son of pitching coach Dave Duncan.

    The Cardinals purchased the contract of first basesman Chris Duncan from Triple-A Memphis. They recalled outfielders Skip Schumaker and John Gall and pitchers Anthony Reyes, Randy Flores and Adam Wainwright.

    Reyes could get a few spot starts as the Cardinals set up their rotation for the postseason.

    Last year the Cardinals recalled only three players from Memphis, catcher Cody McKay and pitchers Al Reyes and Carmen Cali.

      And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

        He's not a first baseman, apparently. According to the report, he's a first basesman.

          Duncan is arguably brought up to spell Pujols a few games...

                He gets a nice raise.

                But, if it's ok with the owners (and how couldn't it be after Cody McKay)....
                And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.
