    Chirac treated for 'eye problem'

PARIS, France -- French President Jacques Chirac has been taken to a military hospital, suffering a "minor vision problem" after a "small vascular incident," the president's press office said Saturday

Chirac, 72, was admitted to Le Val de Grace on Friday night and is expected to remain there for a about a week.

    His appointments have been postponed.

"Last night, he had a small vascular incident causing slight vision trouble that should fade over the next few days," The Associated Press quoted Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin as saying Saturday.

Villepin, speaking in the Atlantic coastal resort of La Baule, said he would visit Chirac when he returns to Paris later Saturday.

    Chirac took office in 1995.

He hasn't been able to see what's under his nose for awhile.

    This just makes it official.
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

The noise was good, but I thought they phoned in a lot of the funk.

He hasn't had vision in years.
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."
