Bob Watson, Vice President of On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.

    • Pirates hitting coach Gerald Perry has been suspended for eight games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate and violent actions during the incident.

    • Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate and aggressive actions during the incident.

    • Pirates manager Lloyd McClendon has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions, which contributed to inciting the incident.

            8 games for Perry?

This could seriuosly damage Pittsburgh's pennant hopes.
