G&R had their moment in the sun, no doubt about that. Appetite for Destruction was very good.

But, once again, I've got to go for the artist with the overall career impact.

    Van Morrison.

Amen Kev.........Axl Rose is a no talent dick.
      I agree with Davhaf.....Kaiser March 9,2004

Official Lounge co-sponsor of Jason Motte.

Mick Jagger is in better shape than far too many NBA players. It's up in the air whether the same can be said of Keith Richards.

Before Kaiser says it, Sweet Child of Mine spoke to me.

St. Louisans just are bitter because Axl wears that St. Louis Sucks t-shirt!

Or wait...you don't live in St. Louis, if I recall correctly. Never mind then.

True, but he hammered the last nail in that coffin in St. Louis...

"And the caravan is on it's way
I can hear the merry gypsies play"

All who like Van Morrison should rent a copy of "The Last Waltz" to see him blow the roof off the place with "Caravan".

                  Kah is right...

His jam on "Caravan" w/ Robbie R. was just incredible..

Van Morrison has one of the most distinctive voices in the biz...

Axl...one of the most distinctive mullets...

                  Astral Weeks...enough said!!

Van in a walk. G&N are not fit to used in the same sentence.
                      Go Cards ...12 in 13.

                        I will be honest.

I had my disagreements with some of the LTOH votes, and a few of the music ones already, but when I saw this match up, I was petrified.

I could never in a thousand million years imagine G&R being considered better than Van Morrision. I am not sure how much stock I could of put in the rest of the contest.

Then I saw that so far it was a landslide. All is right in the world.

Van's last album was incredible. The dude has staying power and the ability to transcend many generations that Guns and Roses clearly lacked.
