You've got to be effing kidding me.

The Grateful Dead over David effing Bowie?????

      Ziggy Stardust! Ch-ch-changes my people.

This is another no-brainer. Bowie - modern rock revolutionary.

I agree Neb. If it's about the music and not some cult phenomenon Bowie hands down.

It's cool to wear tie dye t-shirts and put colorful "dead" bears on your cars and everything, but musically there's no comparison.

Mick Jagger is in better shape than far too many NBA players. It's up in the air whether the same can be said of Keith Richards.

I gotta agree, Nebby. I like the Dead but Bowie is revolutionary.

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is one of my all-time favorites albums.

I personally think Neb lives for these polls.

This is a tough one for me because I love both............But The Dead has been truer to their music for much longer..............

Besides you really can't say you don't like The Dead if you've never been to a show.............It's so much different live..............I was not a true fan until I saw them live..........And that was late in their life as a band............I regret not going sooner..............
