So as I've mentioned a couple times, after a bit of a dry spell work-wise, I finally got myself a 3-month contract as an independant consultant, working with some people in Boston on a project for a compnay in Milwaukee. Even tried to meet Lippa while I was in Boston training, but it didn't take (I probably creeped him out...
). The contract has been a lot of fun, and it runs out next Friday.
Apparantly, I did a good job. My 3-month contract just turned into a job offer for a permanent position. I will have to give up some of the money I would make staying independant, but it's worth it not to have to deal with all the crap of work orders and what not. And although I made more as a sales engineer in my last job, this will be the highest base salary I've ever had in my life.
And to think, earlier this week, I was saying I'm doing what I want to be doing in my life. And I'm very close to drawing a regular, yearly salary for doing so.
Life is good.....
