    I thought this was kind of interesting. Didn't notice if it was mentioned.

    BELLEVILLE - Radio station WCBW-AM 880[Highland, Il.]
    has contracted with officials at Belleville East High School
    to broadcast Lancers' football and basketball games in

    Football coverage will begin 15 minutes before game time and
    will include interviews with East coaches, players, and school

    ANDY MILLAS and LUKE PATTON will handle play-by-play duties for
    football. East opens the season at 7 p.m. Friday at Mount Vernon.

      They "try" to be primarily an Illinois station.
      Despite being so relatively close to the city
      of St. Louis. 880 also carries a lot of Illini
      football and basketball games. Some years
      back, they used to air a bunch of East St. Louis
      high games with Maurice Scott on the PxP.
      I can only guess Belleville East must've worked
      out a more profitable deal as far as the radio
      station is concerned. They do have a fairly strong
      signal for those of us in the metro east Illinois counties.
      It certainly won't hurt the Lancers exposure. The
      SWC is a pretty decent athletic conference.
