LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Tigers finalized their 25-man roster Friday by assigning infielder Danny Klassen to minor league camp and informing backup catcher Mike DiFelice he will not make the team.
DiFelice, who signed a one-year guaranteed contract last December, has until Saturday to decide whether to accept an option to Triple-A Toledo or ask for his release.

how sad is it to get cut by the Tigers? Like losing to Jessica Simpson in Jeopardy.

In other reports, DiFelice is said to be angered by the news.

You laugh now, but what are the Cardinals going to do when we have three catchers slip on the dugout steps before a big game. A five man bench should include at least four catchers and a pinch running specialist.

This is why they should not have traded Eli. He could have been a 4th catcher and a pinch runner. Indispensable I tell you.
