The game file: Giles could hit the jackpot

The price of Brian Giles is going up.
Not only will the right fielder be a free agent at the end of the season, he will likely be the Padres' Most Valuable Player.
Last night, the Granite Hills High graduate fell a homer short of becoming the first Padre to hit for the cycle.
His 3-for-5 effort pushed his season average to .299, and he is four walks shy of triple digits. In addition to walks – a category in which he leads the majors – Giles paces the Padres in runs scored, hits, doubles and RBI. He ranks fourth in the National League in on-base percentage.
And he is getting hotter – going 13-for-28 in his last six games with six RBI. So how much would Giles be worth?
Ryan Klesko stands to be the highest-paid Padre next year at $10.5 million. Giles is making $7 million this season. And teams such as the Cardinals, who tried to trade for Giles last night, might be in the bidding.

I wonder who we would deal................
Reyes has to be involved (doesn't he?).
Giles would be one sweet ass addition.
