Hennessey is the guy who threw a 3-hit shutout against the Cards on their trip to the Bay Area...

      Not gonna happen this time.

          go Carp!

for some reason I thought this game was on the road so I thought I would be okay to sneak out of a party early to go home and watch.

apparently I have to be more creative.

He's has the brand new baby, so perhaps a bit tired and distracted (though probably happy to be out of the house )

He gives up a couple again

Couple of SF stats that caught my eye:

Mike Matheny up to his old tricks – no errors in 810.1 innings so far this season.

Pedro Feliz is the only NL left fielder with at least 200 innings that does not have an assist. Pedro has made 64 starts and played 562.1 innings in left without throwing out a runner. Moises is back off the DL, so it'll be interesting to see where they play Pedro.

Edgardo Alfonzo has had 21 hits since the All-Star break. Twenty have been singles and the other is a double. He’s batting .253 since the break – and slugging .265.

Extra base hits have been rare for the Giants in general. They have ten home runs in 16 games this month. They have gone 8-8 in those games because their team ERA for the month is just 3.47.
This game's gotta be played with fear and arrogance - Crash Davis

"F" em up double "Oh". My "motherboard?" went out in my PC and it's been getting fixed for the past week. I'm now at work as school starts next Tuesday.

It's amazing how much you can miss a computer after a week. Hopefully I'll get it back today or Monday (at the latest).

                        Nice start to the game.

                        Carpenter's alphabet starts with K.

2 K's and a Snow job to Albert at first provides a 6-pitch first inning...

Cy Carpenter is up to his old tricks...the newly birthed progeny appears to be a non-factor...
