  • Cliff Floyd?

Did anyone hear Rick Sutcliffe tonight say that the rumor around the ballpark was that the Cardinals might acquire Floyd? This was inbetween about 40 they "just know how to get it dones" he used to describe everybody in St. Louis.

I would spooge all over myself if Walt pulled that off.

Rick didn't say where or from whom he heard that, but he did say it. And then went on to say how Jocketty just knows how to get it done.

        I doubt this will happen.

The Mets are still in the wild card race.

He is a very good left handed hitter. His problem is staying healthy.

Damn straight! I can get a Rick Sutcliffe rumor on the net faster than anyone.

That makes absolutely no sense for the Cardinals. If anything, they'd need a 3rd baseman, but Nunez is doing a fine job.

They don't 'need' a third baseman, but Floyd would make some sense...

And to the injury prone idea: he apparently came into this season the best shape of his life and hasn't been hurt yet...

There are no 3Bmen out there worth getting that are that much better than Nunez...

Floyd has 27 HRs, 76 RBIs, and is hitting .290...

If Walt can land him, I say set the hook...

Floyd would be fantastic. He has been having a great season, and would be a hell of a lot better than John Rodriguez in the batting order.

                          Don't see it happening.

The Birds need an outfieldr, unless you like the idea of So in right and Johnny Baseball in left next year.

Does John remind anyone else of a taller, left handed Bo Hart at the plate? JJ.
