The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life. -TR

Madyaks2 Thought Of The Day: I'm just as dumb as madyaks1.
I was in Macau a couple years back. It is the Las Vegas of Asia.
Macau Casinos advertised as "Las Vegas Style".
Very different atmosphere though. No one seemed to be there to have fun. Everyone had a serious look. little talking. No joking (that I could understand anyway ), virtually no smoking or drinking.
I couldn't understand most of the games either (just watched for a while).
Cool place though. Interesting food. Mixture of Chinese and Portuguese (former colony).

Lisboa? Great casino, but I've gotten into a dust-up there and wont go back. Macau is a nice little place..but, the rel adventure is across the harbour in Zhuhai.
And..things are good LVB. I'm going to Monte Carlo tomorrow night for 1 week...w/ a business partner. Should be a good time.

Thats why I never liked going to the casinos in Atlantic City a whole lot.
Don't get me wrong, I get nervous, or excited, or aggravated when I gamble just like anyone...but it's just a simple damn...or shit when something doesn't go my way.
You'll get these people no matter where you go, because there are people who have gambling problems and are sitting there watching the last $100 they have to their name disappear, but in AC it seemed there were so many of these people, and less of the touristy, "I'm here to have fun" crowd. I've seen people get downright livid over a blackjack hand and its just ridiculous.
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."
