  • TSNs Top 10

    1. USC
    2. Tennessee
    3. Ohio State
    4. Virginia Tech
    5. Texas
    6. Lousiana State
    7. Miami
    8. Michigan
    9. Oklahoma
    10. Iowa

This is the highest I've seen Ohio State ranked so far. I've thought since the middle of last year that Ohio State would be a legitimate National Championship contender, I guess the Sporting News agrees with me.
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."

I thought Sports Illustrated's ranking was a little odd; they said Ohio State could easily contend for a national championship, but they had OSU ranked #9. They also had Texas at 2, Florida at 3 and Michigan at 4. I think TSN has Tennessee too high, but OSU should be ahead of Texas, Florida and Michigan, I t hink.

I don't think anyone should be ranked in August.

There are 2 absolutes for Ohio State:

            1) The defense is going to be dominating.

            2) The passing game is great.
            3) Get the ball to Ginn

Me either since I'm looking forward to the latest round of Mack Brown excuses and everyone jumping off the Vince Young Heisman bandwagon. Go Big 10.

I think the Big 10 will, in the end, have four teams in the top 10. The conference is loaded this year and should have its finest year since 2002. But because of that, I don't think any Big 10 team will end up playing in Pasadena because the conference is so tough. I'll also say that I think Purdue has a real shot to go through the conference undefeated because they don't play Michigan or Ohio State and they get Iowa at home. That being said, I think it'll be tough for them to win all three of the road games at Minnesota, Wisconsin and Penn State.

I really hope SC loses a game during the regular season because I have a hard time believing they'll lose the Rose Bowl should they get there since it would be a virtual home game for them. Unfortunately, they play in a lousy conference where they have an incredible talent edge over everyone they play.
