I'd like to get Manning, but I seriously doubt he'll be there.

        Good question...

Speaking of which, I need to start up my scouting machine for the fantasy drafts I have on the horizon...

What kind of draft is it Kev? If it snakes, you'll have 8 picks between your 1st and 2nd pick...

If it doesn't, you'll only have seven...

Six of one, half dozen of the other, pretty much...

I think I'd wait and try to get him with your second pick at the earliest...

I think he's going to have a big year, but I don't think demand is such that you have to take him first round...

Taking him with the 8th pick says you think he's a top eight fantasy points guy...he may turn out to be, but I don't know if that's a risk I'd take in the first round just yet...

Depending on who's in your league, Manning should be gone before number 5....

Hell, you could make a case for him number one...

Although most folks I've talked to would put Tomlinson in the number one spot...

You can get a good running back at number 8 much better than Jackson. I was in a league last year where Edgerrin James slipped to me at number 10.

Jackson will be better than James this year...much better...

Plus, I think he can actually score on the goal line...

James is better then Jackson, spare me the BS about Jackson being better then James. The Rams have a back up named Marshall Faulk who is still going to get his fair share of touches. I like Jackson alot, I think he is going to be a great player in the NFL one day, but not until Marshall Faulk retires or is out of a Rams uniform.
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."

Also gotta remember that Jackson plays for Mike Martz. Martz is in the air more than Southwest Airlines.

I have 8 different fantasy teams and SJ is on every one of them. He was always available in round 2 or 3. Don't waste your #1 pick on him. Wide Receivers are at a premium this year so try to snag a quality WR first.

Point of note: St.Louis has the easiest strength of schedule this year so consider that when eyeballing Bulger, Holt, Jackson, etc. Arizona is second so Boldin/Fitzgerald are good options for WR's as is Arrington (rookie) at RB. I actually have Warner on a few of my teams as back-up. I'm a sucker for Kurt.

So am I....In my keeper league I traded for a draft pick to get him as my backup to Brady.

One of my draft rules - No Rams. And even if I didn't have that rule, I wouldn't take Stephen Jackson in the first two or three rounds.
