Well, I think that Danny needs to give up the mustache thing, but other than that I was pretty happy with him last year.

I think I saw some things last year that he can build on. I am not sad to see him be part of our future at all. In fact, I am pretty darn happy about it.

He sure is tall, isn't he?

Forgive me, Danny, for this brief post. It's Monday.

Anyone see the clip of Haren and Hart walking into the stadium Friday? Someone's been working out a bit this winter.

    And I don't mean Bo.

Hart looked completely different with his hair grown out.

Yeah. I couldn't really tell he was that much bigger, like so many people had talked about after seeing him this winter. One of the recent articles at the P-D said he put on about 12 pounds of mass.

But Haren was noticeably bigger. His arms were huge. It would be nice if it added a couple of MPH to his fastball.

It's a little depressing to me that these guys seem to look so young.

Like when I was a senior in highschool and the freshmen looked like kindergartners to me.

            Ah well.

I saw Josh Beckett on Best Damn Sports ...

He'd get carded trying to see an R-rated movie.

                  but that's my dog.

Everyone thinks he's ugly. My family (except for my nieces) doesn't like him. He's odd, but a very good dog for me. One of my friends says he looks like Sammy Hagar.

                  He's really smart.

My wife says the exact same thing about me.

Haren was (out of necessity) brought up too early last year. He's still only 23, and has a long time to improve. In the long run, I look for good things out of him. He can be a useful guy to have around...

If this conditioning enables him to pitch effectively after the 60-pitch mark, he could be quite valuable.
